Nothing Can Separate Us

Jul 26, 2026  •  Rev. William Mitchell

On a joyful Sunday celebrating the close of Vacation Bible School — with the children helping lead worship — this message turns to the soaring finale of Romans 8. If God is for us, who can be against us? Paul names every threat he can imagine — hardship, distress, persecution, even death itself — and declares that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus: not death nor life, not things present nor things to come, not anything in all creation. That promise is the heartbeat of a church called to be a place of blessing for children and families — a love strong enough to hold every generation, from the youngest VBS student to the longest-standing member.
